About Us

This is a long-held dream of Vanessa Marino, founder/director of Amazon Emotions. It is the result of many journeys that she has organized in the rainforest throughout her professional career as a nature and adventure expeditions tour operator for 20 years, traveling to Amazon’s most beautiful and well-preserved regions. The project took shape after living the experience of operating and hiking four times in the most difficult place imaginable in Brazil: Pico da Neblina – home to Brazil’s highest peaks – alongside the Yanomami indigenous people in the rainforest.

The camps are designed and operated with French flair thanks to Vanessa’s collaboration with her business partner Cécile, a Parisian interior design architect and co-founder of Amazon EcoBoat, a tour operator company specializing in exclusive, high-end river experiences and inspired by the rugged beauty of the natural Amazon rainforest. Together, they have trained a team of expert staff and the experience is catered by experienced chefs who create and serve gourmet food that is both internationally appreciated and traditional to the Amazon.

This is not so much a small and intimate operation, as it is a celebration and shared experience in unique, special places in the Amazon, curated by a team of people who have refined the jungle lodge experience, who offer offering this special pop up and remote option to the discerning traveler. It is a combination of the flavor of the nomadic Amazonian traditional way of life and immersive and stunning nature, coming together in an ambience of modern luxury.
