Suggested Clothing

During the rainforest summer, the average temperature in the Amazon region hovers around 40°C, occasionally feeling lower due to the wind chill factor. To ensure comfort, it’s advisable to wear a single layer of lightweight and breathable clothing. Consider packing the following for this Amazon adventure: a hat, synthetic and cotton t-shirts (both short and long sleeve), a rain cover, lightweight, waterproof, and breathable zip-off pants suitable for washing and wearing, a bathing suit, waterproof hiking boots or sturdy shoes, socks, sandals or flip flops, a torch or flashlight (preferably a headlamp) with extra batteries, a 40-liter day backpack, a one-liter water bottle or canteen, sun screen with a minimum SPF of 70, insect repellent, sunglasses offering high UV protection, and a personal first aid kit containing simple and light essentials like analgesics, disinfectants, and antibiotics.

Photography

For wildlife observation, one should bring a good pair of lightweight binoculars with suggested magnification at 7× or 8×. Photography enthusiasts should remember to bring a quality zoom lens for capturing wildlife without the need for close approaches. It’s advisable to pack an ample supply of memory cards and spare batteries, along with a waterproof bag, considering the rainforest environment.

By operating in mosquito-free Amazonian territories such as the Rio Negro and highland rainforests, we ensure outdoor experiences, including on our boats, are mosquito-free, allowing our guests to fully enjoy their off-the-grid adventure. Our commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable experience reflects our dedication to responsible and sustainable tourism in this remarkable and ecologically sensitive environment.

We gladly welcome children, but to ensure their safety, we kindly request that they be a minimum of 7 years old. Children delight in the freedom of the rainforest, be it playing among the trees, savoring the camp experience, or embarking on explorations of the jungle’s concealed wonders with our knowledgeable guide.
